Hoisting and support grips provide an effective means to secure cable into position while lifting. The hoisting grip is manufactured from stainless steel wires and becomes a mesh and hold the cable by friction over their complete length when pulled. Two types of the hoisting grip are available for most cable types. The closed (pre-lnced) version is used when the top connector is installed after the cable is hoisted, while the open (lace-up) version is used in cases the top connector is installed prior to hoisting the cable.
